got this dsg exclusive wilson evolution and precision tf1000 for fathers day/bday gift to replace my worn out legacy. my neighborhood just installed a brand new hoop to replace this decades old rusty bent rim ass hoop. its so nice but its outdoors, thats the best i can do to find a relatively private place to get shots in.
the evolution just has the familiar feel & majority ppl love it and prefer to play with it. that being said, $100 is a steep price to pay now. this is my strictly indoor use only ball.
thats why a good alternative on amazon is the precision tf1000 for $60. it has a great feel to it, and ive been using it outdoors.
i find the legacy tf1000 held up very well outdoors and still remains grippy with lots of life left. the precision tf1000 performs great outdoors as well, but has a softer feel than the legacy similar to the evolution and it has a premium feel without the premium price.
the legacy tf1000 finds itself in a tough spot in the market with its $90 price, why not just put in $10 more to get the evolution unless you want a more rubbery feel that performs better outdoors compared the the softer and slicker evolution however there is the precision tf1000 that does everything the legacy does but for $30 less so i find the legacy offers not great value despite being a great outdoor basketball.
