Janky Split Door Fix

u/Spicy-Mustard-13

This is the best I can do for now. I did accidentally get a photo of one of the window sash locks on the top (I was texting my wife a photo of the hanging storage thingy).

You can also imagine where the corresponding snaps would go on the bottom of the upper door frame to keep it from sliding around against the box.

It’s super stable and the door sections stay aligned perfectly. It closes smooth every time. Damn I’m good.

I will still take better pictures this weekend.

I just picked up this nice 2012 Viking Epic 2109 and I’m trying to come up with a roof rack system for mounting a cargo bubble, solar panels, and MAYBE (probably not actually) the red canoe in the background.

I’m not feeling very good about drilling into the roof to mount anything since as far as I can tell there isn’t any kind of support structure in the top panel of the roof. Seems like it’s just the aluminum exterior panel over foam over veneer inside. There is no roof vent and no A/C so there’s no roof brace. I’d like to come up with something that’s sturdier than the roof top itself (which doesn’t seem too sturdy).

There are what appear to be rails along the corners of the roof with channels along the side that have some kind of molding inside. Does anyone know of a roof rack that’s designed to mount to side channels like that?
