I'm a diver at a Division III school. I'm considering trying out to dive at Casa Bonita after school or as a summer job. I've never been there in my adult life but I think it'd be a fun, cool summer job. What do you guys think? What are some things I should know before I try?
I'm a 19 year old umpire. I am beginning HS work next year in the Midwest area. I've been working rec/travel leagues since I was 14 and want to umpire professionally. I consistently get great reviews from all of the leagues that I work in, and frequently get assignments for high-level games for 4-5 different counties.
What age do most umpires get professional opportunities? I don't want to fall behind the curve on this. I study constantly and take notes on other games in my area to improve my craft and ask my partners/assignors what I could do better after games. What should I prioritize to pursue a career in umpiring? I am lightly considering the idea of dropping out of college to pursue it, if I were to get a professional opportunity before I graduate. This probably sounds really stupid but I'm at a time in my life where I don't really have a lot of weight on anything. I'm in good physical shape, I'm on a sports team at my college, so that's not an issue. I've only ever had to eject two people in five seasons and rarely does anyone even complain at me, even at district/state level tournaments. College diver with about 10 months of experience here. keep tilting on my 301c. This is rarely a problem on any other reverse and it causes me to get lost at the end. What advice do you have for takeoff training?
