Hi everyone,

I got my Irish citizenship 4 years ago but due to some circumstances, I’ve had to move to the UK 2 years ago. Do I need to submit Form 5 every year or only if I’ve been outside Ireland for 7 consecutive years?

I submitted a form 5 last year as well but now I just re-read it and it looks like I only need to submit it if I’ve been outside Ireland for 7 consecutive years, but would be great if someone could confirm if I still need to submit the form or not.

Hi everyone! I’m going to Taiwan from the UK in November for 8 nights and would love some thoughts on which places to visit.

- Day 1: 3pm arrival in TPE
- Day 2: Taipei
- Day 3: Taipei
- Day 4: Day trip to Shifen and Jiufen
- Day 5: Taipei
- Day 6: Travel to Chiayi and then Alishan via train + bus (stay overnight)
- Day 7: Back to Taipei in the evening
- Day 8: Taipei

Some questions:

- Is Alishan worth going for one night even though it involves quite a lot of time from Taipei? The only hotel we were able to find which is available is the Alishan hotel which is expensive for sure so just unsure whether it’s all worth the money + time spent. We definitely like nature/ scenery/mountains but we aren’t hikers.

- If we don’t go to Alishan, where else would you recommend going probably for one night?

I’ve been trying to buy flight tickets from their website and I always get the error “The price of the selected flight has been adjusted. Please recheck your reservation”.

Anyone knows how to get by this? Their customer support hasn’t been helpful and I’d rather avoid booking via OTA if possible.
