Hello all! First time sofa buyer here looking to make a solid purchase that’ll last my family and I years. What material should the frame be made out of/which is most durable? Should I be on the lookout for cushion material that won’t flatten quickly as well? Ultimately looking for some guidance so that I can make an informed decision so any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Second, if anyone has any modern furniture brands that are tried and true in the midrange budget bracket (<$3k for a sectional) that would be greatly appreciated. I’ve found valyou, however, again I have no idea how to determine quality from shit.
