I’ve seen several companies call them “enhanced,” one or two call them “CZ style,” but you know what I mean. I’m talking about the non-traditionally shaped grip modules, the ones that indent at the grip safety like you see on Atlases and Infinitys (Infinities?) and other high end DS 1911s. You can get metal ones from Cheely and Miller Precision and a bunch of other places— but have you ever seen an “enhanced” grip module made out of polymer? If so, where? If not, why not?

I think I’m done tinkering with it for the moment. I learned a lot breaking it down over and over. I installed the OnPoint v3 grip, atlas shielded safeties, red dirt trigger. I also fitted a new grip safety but decided on the pinned safety in the end. Fitting these small parts wasn’t as difficult as you might think. I did everything myself except the cerakote. I’ve now taken apart every single part of this gun except the extractor and firing pin.
