I applied and was referred as a current DoD employee to an 0343 position. I’m not an existing contractor so I’m sure I’m up against all the contractors they are working to convert. I was referred about 4 weeks ago and was curious if anyone else has seen any movement?

Obligatory timeline:

Applied: May 11th
Announcement Closed: May 12th
Referred: May 28th

My hope is that I’m able to compete for any slots not taken by former contractors. 🤞

I’m sure it’s subjective but do you prefer to interview before making selections, or do you leverage the ability to just select from certs issued from HR?

As a HM at my current agency, we have to interview everyone we consider hiring (no DHA). There are definitely roles where it does not feel necessary.
