I have a 2012 Genesis coupe 2.0T, have been using 5w-30 but heard I should change to 5w-40 for the turbo. I live in Canada so based off that what should I do. Should I run 5w-40 in spring and summer and 5w-30 in winter and fall or just stick to one.
Hi, I have a 2012 Genesis coupe 2.0T with about 135,000km. I just recently changed the spark plugs and wanted to know if I should change the ignition coils as well for safety. Nothing wrong with them but I’m able to get some ngk ignition coils for a good price. Currently replacing everything I don’t have history on. Previous owner gave me all the invoices for the work done previously so using that as a guide. Ignition coils were never replaced same with spark plugs.
Hi, I have a 2012 Genesis coupe 2.0t and have been running a bov without issue. I just got a k and n cold air intake installed and hear flutters at low boost. I’m not sure if I need to tighten my bov spring. Would appreciate if you guys can send me some clips of how it should sound under boost. I have installed everything tight and have checked it multiple times. The video I attached is me in park so you don’t hear the flutter. This is my first time ever having a cold air intake. Please help!! Thank you
I just bought wheels for my Bk1 Genesis coupe. Wanted to know what tire size I should run for a slight stretch. Wheels are 9.5 +25 for the fronts and 10.5 +30 for the rear. Also would like to know how close to flush these wheels would be.
I had installed a GFB BOV about a week ago and it’s been perfect since. However today I noticed while driving it sounds like constant air either being pulled in or pushed out. I brought up the car to 5k RPM and I’m not getting the pshhh I was originally getting. In park when revved up to 4K it works perfectly fine. The video attached of it in park and revved. I don’t know if this had anything to do with it but I had disconnected the battery to add an aftermarket head unit. When I drove the car last night it was driving perfectly it just happened after getting the aftermarket head unit installed. I don’t know if it’s something to do with the ecu or if there an actual leak. I checked the tubing for the bov it still looks perfectly fine with no cuts. The clamps are also on tight on both ends and the spring was tighten precisely when I first installed the bov. 2012 genesis coupe 2.0T. I have no lights on the dash and the car doesn’t feel sluggish while doing small pulls.
