Is making his Big3 debut on CBS right now. Fyi.

The kings clearly loved Acuff and there was very little doubt they were taking him once he fell to 7.

Makes me wonder…what’s the best lottery position the Kings could have been slotted where they would have still drafted Acuff? Or in other words, what number do we think he was on their board?

My guess is he was 3rd or 4th after Dybantsa/Peterson.
After seeing the limitations of Sabonis the last handful of years would they really have taken a similar player (Boozer) over a flashy scoring guard? Wilson is interesting as well. He doesn’t really have a perimeter shot and probably projects to be a decent scorer but more of a presence defensively. Im not sure they would have been willing to come out of the draft still being without a primary scoring option among their young core.

And then id guess they definitely had Acuff ranked higher than Mikel and Wagler.
