Keegan has progressively become more passive and lost force in his game. But I don't think that's entirely his fault.

He tanked as a distance shooter last season but with all the injuries we saw more self creation. Got to the line a little more. Not great numbers on pull ups and still didn't get to the line much.

With his own injuries, I think it's fair to count last season largely as a wash. But his 34% 3 point shooting combined the previous two seasons has no such justification.

With DeMar (and Russ) likely gone, the offense should play with more pace, more touches and quicker touch time, hopefully more player movement with Domas having a bigger presence in the offense and having an actual QB at the PG position in Acuff.

Keegan needs to shoot for this offense to work. Teams will continue to force Domas to shoot. If we by some way get Duren, the same will apply...teams sag off. Teams will continue to force Zach to put the ball down, believing they can get bad decisions out of him. Having Hunter helps because he's a capable weak side creator but if Keegan can't shoot, this offense again becomes cramped. And not just C&S standing in the corner 3's. It's upon him as well as Coach Christie to get Keegan more touches while on the move and for Keegan to play with more urgency.

Acuff's driving and kicking ability is huge for this group but he's a rookie at the end of the day. No one guy will be the savior. But Keegan finding his shot again and being a more dynamic shooter this season will be key to unlocking this offense and Keegan rediscovering his confidence.

I was wondering why his shooting night was so rough in the beginning and they was dead sending KD double and triple teams at him for no reason lmao. When he figures out how to really break down and blow by NBA level defenses it’ll get scary.

a lot of his shots were in and outs and if 25 points in 29 minutes was a bad game at 19 years old imagine how a good game will look when he’s finally knocked the rust off not playing in a while, nique can be djj, keegan can be pj, and if we do go for duren I’d say that’s his gafford, also sharp on defense is amazing

You have to be a polarizing figure to have that kinda effect on people. It’s crazy how many people are trying to farm his name.

This is good. Not many players get attention like that. Getting people to tune in to you games/ box score just to say something lol

It seems to me that Acuff has plenty of lob targets:

Mogbo: Can catch a lob.

Cardwell: Can catch a lob.

Raynaud: Can catch a lob.

Clifford: Can catch a lob.

Plowden: Can catch a lob.

Precious: Can catch a lob.

Monk: Can catch a lob.

Keegan: Can catch a lob.

Hunter: Can catch a lob.

Lavine: Can catch a lob.

Now obviously half the battle is catching a lob and the other half is finishing it, and these guys aren't all equal on both ends there. But all I'm saying is that even in the likely scenario where Sabonis is the starting center, Acuff's gonna have other guys he can throw a lob to. Who needs Jalen Duren when you've got Precious Achiuwa?
