Anyone else notice the discussion around Sabonis shoot way up after that first game?

Obviously everybody's attention was on Acuff, who did have a good game. But those who understand basketball also noticed how Domas was always there making Acuff's life easier.

Why not also sign Oladipo and let him fight for a spot?

Today the Knicks signed like 4 different FAs for training camp, so I don’t so why we can’t do the same.

Also I feel bad for Victor

Someone please help me get off of this ledge of hope

With this Simmons signing I’m finding myself start to fantasize... What if Ben maximizes Domas? What if the low-pressure environment of Sac gets Ben to become the LeBron replacement he was always meant to be? What if Keegan finds his aggression and 3 point shot?

I know I’m only setting myself up for a very painful disappointment. Please help me

Would you trade all of next years picks to instantly finish the construction on I50?

I think this move has long term benefits

Do you think Precious takes over Malik as 6th man?

I’m hoping the answer is no because Malik is electric and he makes basketball fun.

BUT Precious is offensively capable (even if a little below Malik’s level) while being a good defender as well. I think it just makes sense that he gets more minutes

Is Keegan primed for a MIP season?

DISCLAIMER: Potential cope ahead.

Keegan’s PR is absolutely in the dumps right now. Some of it is his fault because his shooting numbers keep declining, and some of it is due to injury last year.

First, if Keegan can stay healthy, he’s already put himself in the running for MIP next season.

Secondly, in the little we saw him play last season, I saw a little more ferocity and leadership. We laugh at it now, but when Deebo said this is Keegan’s team now it actually made sense given the game he just had.

Third, whatever cursed his shooting splits may finally start dissipating. Maybe it was the stink of MB’s coaching style. Maybe it was the horrendous 3p contest performance from Huerter. Maybe it was because he put on weight and his body wasn’t used to it. Whatever the cause, things should start getting better now.

When you look at it, I think the MIP award is Keegan’s to lose

Are there any full-game videos online of the golden era Kings that represent the best they had to offer?

I want to be immersed in good roster construction and great coaching for a change

Russ didn’t want to play behind Acuff. I see this as a small win because it means the FO didn’t succumb to star pressure

Judgement free zone: did anyone think Oladipo was the same person as Olajuwon?

Like you hear that Oladipo is coming back to the league and the first thing you're gonna think is "ain't that guy 85 years old by now?" They're definitely different players, but similar names

Who in the Sacramento era was the closest to having a case for MVP?

Remember that MVP is a regular season award so maybe Domas in ‘23 has it?

“The Kings never played their projected starting lineup last season”

I’ve been seeing this excuse made over and over again to justify last season’s failures and assure us that next season will be different. But I don’t buy it

There were quite a few games with nearly the full starting lineup, just missing one person. And they blew those games as well.

I don’t think a fully healthy team passes 25 wins last year

Edited to clarify my point.

Are you thankful to have a name?

There's so much that can be said about the depth of the Chimera Ant arc, but I never an anime would make me appreciate the fact that I have a name.

Seeing all of these incredibly intelligent and/or powerful creatures yearn for something means that thing must be really valuable. But what if their object is something we're all given at birth and never think about?

Your name signifies that you are your own person and that we have value in someone else's eyes. We tend to name things that matter to us, whether animals or cars or significant days. Even Adam's first reaction to seeing Eve was to give her a name.

Our names give us an opportunity to be known and remembered. It's the header of our legacy after we're far gone. And having a name is a responsibility as well, because what people associate with that series of letters depends on how we act and behave.

It's far from Thanksgiving, but I'm thankful to have a name
