Does anyone know where to get some food today? All the normal resources (salvation army, people concern, ) were closed yesterday, closed today, and closed tmmr. I woulda thought DoorDash delivery’s woulda been popping on a holiday weekend but I only made $12 yesterday and no orders today, probably cuz there’s so many other people dashing this weekend. So I’m just wondering if there’s anything going on where I could go grab a free bite to eat.

I guess I’m a little bit of an outlier because I traveled as a vagabond with puffcos and that’s how most got lost (or stolen). But ever since the Pivot came out I’ve been a heavy believer that Puffco is best way to take dabs on the go, so as long as I had the money, I always immediately replaced it when lost. My friend had gotten me into dabs a while ago, back before I was a full time vagabond, and he always used an electric dab straw device until the pivot came out, and both of us were sold so fast on it. Dabs are life bro.

I lost my first Pivot a couple months after first purchase , while snowboarding. Bought a second the next day. Then in 2025 I started traveling full time as a vagabond. I almost dropped the pivot off a freight train but it got caught in a gap. When I was traveling thru Chicago in late April of 2025, I had my bag snatched from a library and lotta valuables including my pivot were gone. Bought a third pivot a couple days later when I returned to Asheville NC to recoup. Puffco stream team also blessed me with a new pivot too when I told chat what happened in Chicago, such a nice thing to do. Having 2 pivots is the way to go, never have battery or overheat issues. But then few months later, (August), in Denver, while sleeping I either pushed my small bag of valuables into the river or someone came by and stole it, either way both pivots and lotta other important stuff went missing that night. Had just enough cash to buy my fifth pivot in Denver.

Then in the fall, I was in LA and puffco so generously blessed me with the new proxy, for no reason other than I didn’t have one .I’ll never forget how elegant it felt to rip the glass proxy pipe. Way more of fuller hit than a pivot too, got me way more stoned off less hits. I ended up breaking the glass by dropping it in Kansas City, right before new years, waiting for an Amtrak back to LA. But I found out you can just rawdog the proxy and rip fat hits right outta the hole in the side. I almost lost my Pivot while getting mugged in LA in early January, but managed to hold onto it tight. My phone, not so much. Went to San Diego and eventually came back to Santa Monica in February when a friend from Michigan came down to escape winter. Then later in February, I was literally packing up my freshly bought dabs , my bag tipped over, I just righted it up and packed up and left, unaware my pivot had fallen out in the dark. Only realized when I got to the beach, was sad but luckily still had my proxy battery.

Until a few months later, when I was in Redding California. It had been hard times ever since leaving LA, with barely any DoorDashs to deliver, wasnt eating well and wasnt in a clear state of mind. I had my proxy battery sitting next to me, waiting to hit it. It got sunny. I scooted back a few feet into the shade and scrolled my phone waiting for a DoorDash order, long enough for someone to come by and take the battery. That’s kinda when I realized I was tired of traveling the way I’ve been, I’m so sick of losing shit so stupidly. Losing my last puffco device made me crash out and cancel a really nice birthday train hop a friend had planned to go on with me. I still went west to Eureka , Arcata, Trinidad. Saw the redwoods and coastal cliffs. But have finally returned back to Santa Monica to get back to making good money doing DoorDash orders. Now there are lotta higher priorities above a new puffco device, including a room to rent and a scooter to get around faster and do more doordashes, but eventually I can’t wait to buy another puffco device again. They truly are the WD-40 to my life. It’s incredibly awesome to be able to rip a dab from a puffco in almost any circumstance. A nectar collector and torch looks so bad and can only be hit in private. I hate it. I haven’t been quite as stoned as the puffco got me.

TDLR : I’ve lost 5 pivots and one proxy , all across the country (NC, IL, CO, MO, CA) , in less than 2 years . Still can’t wait to buy another. Hopefully in time for puffcon, cuz a really great friend already has me as his VIP plus 1. Puffco admin already said they’ll let me get in when I told them I might not have a device by then, so that’s good .
