My dog is addicted to fetch?
Suddenly my dog (year old Havanese) ONLY wants us to throw his ball. But what he does is he drops his ball really close to you and then just stares really stalker-like (it’s happening as I type this) but he’ll sit and wait until I throw the ball for however long it takes until someone throws it before repeating the process. He doesn’t even really bark at the window without the ball in his mouth or next to him and immediately goes back to lurk on someone else’s with the ball once he’s done looking out the window. I tried training him new tricks and he didn’t have very much interest in the treats because of the dang ball which is shocking since he’s a foodie. He isn’t aggressive about the fetch at all he just lingers 24/7 with the ball waiting for it to be thrown. He gets lots of love, exercise, and mental stimuli from puzzles. What is going on?
