Are these mealworms?

Northern Utah- about 1/2 inch in length
This is an update to a post I made last week trying to identify these worms that are all over the exterior of our basement apartment. I’ve only seen a few inside our house so far. The first pic is our drain outside and they’re overflowing it.. they’re under every surface outside and in massive amounts. In corners, crevices…everywhere. I couldn’t figure out why they’re here because we’ve never seen them outside the house before and especially in such large amounts.. but I just learned our upstairs neighbor has lizards and feeds them mealworms but when the worms turn into beetles, they toss the beetles out their window.. do you guys think that’s the reason they’re all here? Or is there another explanation to why this is happening all of a sudden?
Thanks in advance!

Someone help me figure out what these are please!

They’re alllll over the exterior of our house. We’re in northern Utah. Right now they vary from half inch to full inch length. I assumed some sort of moth caterpillar, but I don’t understand why they’re in such large masses right now. I’ve never seen them here before at least not in such a large amount.

Can this TNR cat be deferraled?

My husband and I are currently doing TNR work with the help of a local rescue. We caught this momma cat and 2/4 of her kittens. 2 kittens are still out there.. the kittens are about 10 weeks old so they’ve been weened from mom already. We got momma fixed yesterday and I’m torn on releasing her or signing her up to be fostered. The feral cats I’ve helped before would hide constantly and would get very defensive whenever I would open their crate. This momma however, will look at me directly and doesn’t hide when I check on her. She looks very curious and observant. But when we had to get her fixed, she was very aggressive when we tried getting her in a carrier. She hissed, scratched, etc. I’ve been able to pet her with a peacock feather but I don’t dare try petting her with my hand just yet. 😅
The rescue said they’d leave the decision up to me if I should foster or release.. what do you guys think?

Also if anyone has tips on getting the last 2 kittens I’d really appreciate it. I’ve been worried sick about them. We’ve been resetting the traps every day with fresh wet food and tuna. We even used the mommas blankets to cover the trap in hopes her smell will lure them in. We also played momma cat audios on a small speaker that was inside the trap and they would meow from the bushes but wouldn’t go in the trap. We even used one of their siblings as a paid actor to bait them in the trap but nothing has worked! It seems like they’re trap savvy and idk how else to help them..

Can cats forget their human after being separated for long periods of time?

Hey everyone- this is a bit of a vulnerable post so I apologize in advance for bringing up a sensitive topic.(and for the long post)
(TW: mention of deportation and family separation)

Last year, my husband and I did TNR work + rescued some feral cats in our neighborhood and we ended up adopting a momma cat and named her Marceline(from Adventure Time). We assumed Marceline would be a quiet and self kept cat due to her past living on the streets. However, she is everything but shy. She’s extremely talkative and follows me and my husband around begging for constant attention. She sleeps between us every single night all the way until morning. We couldn’t have asked for a better cat.. she is our soul cat.

Well fast forward to now and we just found out that my husband of 6 years is getting deported to a country he doesn’t have any recollection of. He was brought here to the US when he was less than a year old. Rather than being held in an ice detention center and receiving a 10 year ban from forced removal, my husband was granted a 120 voluntary removal order meaning he has 120 days to leave the US and he will receive a 3 year ban rather than the 10 year ban. Due to personal circumstances, I cannot move with him at this time so we’ll have to make this work long distance.

In the midst of packing his belongings, my husband was cradling Marceline and he looked at me and said “Marceline is going to forget me.” And I instantly denied that and said she could never forget him. But that statement stuck with me and I haven’t been able to shake it. I know I said that’s impossible, but to be honest I’m not entirely sure. So that brings me to my question: can cats forget their human? Considering he won’t see her for 3 years.. she’s almost 2 years old right now. If so, is there anything I can do to refresh her memory in these next 3 years?

I want to make it clear that I’m not here to argue about politics- I just want to know if this is a possibility. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s been through something similar where they went without seeing their pet(s) for a long period of time and how reuniting went. Thank you guys in advance ❤️‍🩹
