Talk me out of the bravo
Opening a studio and seriously considering the bravo but nervous about picking the new thing that doesn’t have a history to know how well it holds up.
For reference, I have previously taught on the A2, studio, basi and peak reformers so I have a pretty good range of experience on what I like and don’t like about different setups.
I’m looking between the bravo and the studio and the price difference is pretty alluring. The carriage size is similar which I like. I hate that that box slightly hangs of the A2 if it’s in front of shoulder blocks.
It has a spring bar so it can gear out which is really important to me in a group setting. I do prefer the height of the studio but at the end of the day that one extra inch is not a deal breaker.
I lean toward the studio because we’re comfortable with that right. It’s a work horse. We know that it can handle the studio/group class environment and hold up. But we also know that generally speaking BB has good customer service so if there is something that happens with the bravo that is unexpected that starts to cause issues that it’s likely they will be forthcoming and offer a solution.
The issue is I don’t know anybody that has experience with the bravo and making this choice without first hand experience is so hard. I did see one studio that was using them and sent them a DM and they had positive things to say but she said she’d never taught on anything else so didn’t have a good base for comparison.
As I’m looking at it now it looks like it is going to give me everything I want from the studio but at a better cost.
Thoughts?
one extra note…I have seen they aren’t doing a stand alone mat conversion. I plan on having one all towers so it would be nice to utilize both reformers and tower mats for a mat class but that’s just a thought on the back burner right now and I honestly don’t know that I’d even want to do that because I really believe in small class sizes so do I need to have double the space for mat? Yet to be seen on that one.
