We hit 10,000 visitors this week.

We hit 10,000 visitors this week so well done to everyone. I imagine Mayo's victory in the All Ireland Final had a lot to do with it.

Not a bad run considering where the sub was when I took it over.

I have been missing a few spam posts lately so if anyone wants to help out as a mod pm me.

I'll be also updating the post reporting options soon.

Thanks to everyone for visiting us.

CISSP CPE renewal question

I am 75% of the way through my CPE renewal with about 11 months left, If I obtain the 120CPE points, pass an an audit if selected and pay my AMF. When is my actual updated certificate issued?

I am wondering because renewing CISSP would renew my Security X and all the other COMPTIA certs.

There is only a week between my CISSP and SEC X expiry dates so if my CISSP cert is issued in July, it may not be issued in time to renew my Sec X.

Does anyone know?

Why are drinks not cold anymore in shop fridges?

What's up with the fridges in every shop these days? You go in to get a cold drink and every drink is lukewarm. Nothing beats a properly cold drink.

The new open fridges are to blame and store managers setting the temperature high to keep costs down.

These new fridges with the sliding feature as well. How are you supposed to get a cold one from the back. The shop is going to stack it from the front. Some shops must have bottles in the back that have never been sold.

Back in the day when you pulled open a door to the fridge you knew you were going to get a proper cold drink. Some of the labels on drinks best served chilled.

Luke warm drinks on a warm day are no good to anyone.

edit: grammar and missing word.

SASE and Firewalls

Our PAs and GP VPN are due for renewal later this year, we are investigating at SASE but from my understanding you still need on-prem firewall for blocking threats, DMZs, S2S VPNs etc. What firewalls are people using for that?

Anyone used any SASE and how did they find it? What costs are we talking about? I can not find pricing anywhere for a SASE product online? I don't want to contact resellers just yet and be harassed by sales calls. We have less than 1k users.

Any comments on SASE products vs NGFW firewalls?

We all know the big popular beaches but what about about the hidden gems.

Dooega, Achill. Blue flag beach off the beaten track. No lifeguard though.
