Collecting the Robert E. Howard comic adaptations

There are a ton of Conan comics out there and I’m a relative newcomer to the character. I started out in a way which felt proper, by first reading the og Howard proze stories (from the Complete Chronicles book) and while doing so I stumbled upon the briljant youtube series by Tennessee Fats called the Robert E. Howard battle royale’s in which he compares multiple comic adaptations to the sourcematerial.
That made me curious for those multiple versions and so I started out on a journey to try to collect all the comic adaptations of the original stories, in collected editions as much as possible. As you can see I’m not complete by far but enjoying the hunt and the awesome reading experience! To help me out I composed a checklist of the multiple adaptations with the help of ai. I did put the Ablaze and Glénat versions in one category since they’re all available in dutch hardcover (being from the Netherlands) so Ablaze having them not all stories out in hc format (yet) doesn’t bother me too much.
I put up the list (just swipe) in case it would be of help to anybody with the same collecting ideas!

Conan the indomitable

The final Conan figure to add to my McFarlane toys Conan collection, completing the 4 versions of Conan they put out in 2004/2005 (the Cimmerian and the indomitable from series one and the warrior and King Conan from series two). I originally had some doubt about this figure because of his facial expression and the fact that he’s mostly seen wielding a giant hammer but after seeing u/Janky_Welles post him here on reddit wielding his sword I made up my mind and I’m glad I did because the figure is great in hand!

Conan the Cimmerian (McFarlane Toys 2004)

Added this wonderful figure to my steadily growing collection of McFarlane toys Conan figures. Apparently aiming for a very similar look as Conan in Dark Horse’s comic version of The ice giant’s daughter I find this the perfect representation of a younger Conan fresh out of Cimmeria and ready for battle (or for chasing a magical wench through the snow). For a 2004 figure it still looks amazing despite it’s very limited articulation.

King Conan 👑

Added this amazing figure to my collection today, King Conan by McFarlane toys from 2005. Really stoked to own this masterpiece! Couldn’t wait to take a cool picture of it for my actionfigurephotography insta (remcomiccustoms)

The hour of the dragon

I managed to pick up a set of the 2004 Conan figures by McFarlane toys. The sculpting on these figures is amazing and still holds up after all these years. These are great figures, despite the limited articulation (basically statues). I did some actionfigurephotography with them for my insta (remcomiccustoms) and had great fun playing around with them!
