History Takes the Field at Raimondi Park
I finally wrote about my R2G after years of using it in men’s league.
It wasn’t bought as a collector’s piece—it was bought because my old gamer failed and I needed a premium glove by the following weekend.
Years later it’s been cleaned, conditioned, relaced, the palm pad is nearly flat, and I’d still trust it in a game today.
Curious where everyone else stands on the R2G line now. Have yours held up?
Little love for the Rays of yore, and a brief history on the EL3.
Just a little two tone TT2 action on this Tulo Tuesday
Been sharing these over social media, a little project we've been working on with our local Pioneer League team and figured some of the glove nerds here might enjoy it.
The idea started pretty simply: each Oakland Ballers series gets a “Glove of the Series” from my collection. What started as a way to show off a few gloves has turned into a deep dive into glove history, player influence on equipment design, baseball culture, and the stories behind the gloves themselves.
This week’s piece focuses on a Rawlings PROTB24HT Trap-Eze that accidentally started my entire collection.
Always open to corrections, additional history, catalog scans, or collector lore, as long as we can separate fact from myth.
Hope some of you enjoy it.
New to me, but I'm a big fan.
Picked this up recently, just curious what the experts can tell me about this?
I've had the tan Horween for a while, had to get her a friend.
Someone who knows more than me, please decode that code!
