How did you become stable or go into remission?

For those of you with this condition who have gone into remission or symptoms are largely managed, how did you do it? What medications or lifestyle changes helped you? What kind of doctor/specialist helped you? How long have you been doing well and what were your symptoms before?

Anything you’d like to share would be appreciated!

Functional Dyspepsia and Migraine?

How many of us with functional dyspepsia also suffer from migraine/frequent headaches? I feel it must be very co morbid and I feel my FD is tied to my migraine condition. Please share your experiences and thoughts in the comments!

Mirtazapine long term

Has anyone in here been on mirtazapine long term? If you have, how has its effected you? Have you had significant weight gain or other effects? I’m worried about the long term effects of staying on it but fear I need it as I tried to get off and my disabling symptoms returned.

FD and Pregnancy

Hi all! Wondering if anyone has experiences or input on this. I have been diagnosed with FD after much suffering, testing, and trial and error with medications. My primary symptom has been unrelenting severe nausea. I have been able to manage for some time with 150mg Effexor and 75 mg lyrica twice a day to regulate nerve signalling between the brain and gut. I have wished all my life to start a family and I’m wondering if anyone in this group has this disorder and has gone through pregnancy/postpartum. Did your FD worsen, stay the same, get better? Did you stay on your medications throughout. Any experiences or input would be appreciated! I am just really wondering if this is realistically in the cards for me or if maintaining my health is the more important thing to focus on as nausea is a very common symptom in pregnancy.
