My cat has puzzle rage...but she's cute.

This is Leeloo, she is a very spoiled princess who has puzzle rage. If you are working on the puzzle she will sit on it and smack your hands. We are not sure if she's jealous or if its because she has bad eyesight and is trying to hunt our hands. However its added a new difficulty level as we find ways to distract her. Its a good thing she's cute!

Art Cats 1000 pc from Happily. Peice repair involved.

My first time trying a puzzle from this company. Loved the design however it felt like it had kind of a gummy coating on it. Also several false fits that had me redoing boarders. Thankfully it was easy due to the divided nature of the image.

Unfortunately my one year old kitten is still in his "put it all in his mouth" stage. He got hold of two and using tips from this sub I was able to repair them the second photo shows the post repair and the third the perpetrator Ferdie.

"Clover" with assistance 500 pc New York Puzzle art Victo Ngai

Spokane puzzler here, we just got back in after a week of evacuation. I was very fortunate my house was undamaged and a new puzzle was waiting. My cats have been extra cuddly and Leeloo was excessively "helpful".

I had to note one peice now has a pin prick tooth mark. But it seemed fitting.

I love koi puzzles-Moon Catcher, 500 pc. New York Puzzle

This I put together pretty fast listening to some podcasts. I love koi fish (hence the nick) and this was beautiful. My first New York Puzzle and I get the hype! Their pieces were funky and I was second guessing at first but a great tight fit and that finish is lovely.

A quick puzzle and question on ravensburger, Ukiyo-E Cat Warrior mini 100 ravensburger.

Hello! As new to puzzling I have been so thankful for all the info and personal experience everyone shares. The suggestions you guys have been dead on. I bought a handful of puzzles from different companies to try. But I only bought mini puzzels from ravensburger. Putting it together I noticed its really loose fitting. It was had to even move around off the board on to the display board they come with.

I was wondering if this was just found in mini puzzles or if the larger ones fit the same. I have heard nothing but good (except the dust) about ravensburger so it surprised me how "wiggly" for lack of a better word) these were. I like to build small areas. Then sometimes have to scoot them around to the right place, but the peices just came apart when I moved them.

Today I learned light source matters -"Velocipede" 1000 Blue Kazoo

So I boldly started this a few days ago, most of the puzzles I have done were mostly bright. I became acutely aware that I don't have bright lamps while initially sorting. During the day easy... sun goes down and this puzzle jumped in difficulty.

I now more fully appreciate why soft finish is preferable as turning the overhead light on was some how worse. I ended up precariously balancing a bankers lamp on the edge of the table while picking through what seemed like an endless field of black and white text.

My first time working a Blue Kazoo. I actually really liked it, I wasn't sure how I would like the black backing. While not my favorite the puzzle had a good fit. It was a bit bigger than I imagined as it has a tall format which made me have to work part of the text upside down. (My dyslexia already makes text a bit spicy)

Successfully managed to keep my cat from stealing any peices. A personal best!

A look at my small collection. Nyp, pom, bk and others.

Hello, I am actually really new to working jigsaw puzzles. I of course worked a few growing up but my wife and my grandma both work puzzles by shape not color like I do. I bought a few by an artist I liked that sold the plastic ones because I thought they would be cute to hang in the bathroom. (Also not affected by humidity).

I had been looking for a way to relax away from screens and give my eyes a rest. We'll at least I got part of it right! (My choice of puzzles hardly is easy on my eyes)

So its been three months and admittedly I went on a puzzle bender. I at first only worked cat based puzzles, now with all the cool puzzles I have seen here plus all the great suggestions I have gotten I have collected a small hoard. (I need to get a book shelf next).

My last big shipment got here today from new york puzzle. So here is my small collection so far. Pomegranate, New York puzzle, PieceRelax, cavellini and co, bluekazoo (i love retro prints) and some variety of others as suggested.

Missing is the 5 puzzels I did first and because they are hanging up and I tossed the boxes.

When I finish them. I bag the peices in a zip lock and put a post it stating when I finished it, if any pieces are missing, and any other notes like number of bags inside (if I broke it down for ease in future puzzling) or if it was difficult and then use some round stickers to close the box on the sides.

Dracula in Sewards library, pomegranate 500 (and some sanity)

I saw someone here did this one before and thought to myself, "they must be crazy". So of course I had to try it myself. At the half way mark I seriously considered bailing because I was just lost. Everything looked the same, but I stuck with it! Admittedly when I broke it down I split it in to right and left bags.

Today I learned tablecovers matter- WIP Cavallini Celestal

Lurked here for a while. I grew up with a grandma who works jigsaw puzzels. Now 40 years later I decided to break out some to do with my wife and still thriving grandma (at 91). However they both work puzzels by shape which confounds me to no end. So I decided to pull out the card table and put some together my self! (Insert hubris marching in here).

After rescuing an old card table from the shed, a bit of sand paper and wd40 its good to go. I grabbed a clean table cloth and thought that the plaid lines would "help" me keep it even. Well.... now im in too deep and it just looks like two blood shot eyes peeking out at me.

I have a puzzel mat on order. ....
