How do you automate Jira time tracking? Or do I just need to get better at discipline?

I’m usually working on 3–4 initiatives at the same time. On top of that, I deal with incidents, bugs, and ad hoc requests from the business.
I rarely have time to log work on Jira tickets as I go, so I end up doing it once a month, trying to reconstruct where my time went based on my calendar (meetings) and memory.
Obviously, this isn’t ideal, and I’m sure I’m missing things or estimating poorly.
My question is: Have you found any tricks, workflows, or tools to automate or at least simplify Jira time tracking? For example, integrating it with your calendar, using AI to reconstruct time entries, or anything else that actually works in practice?
Or is the only realistic solution to build the discipline to log time immediately after each task?
I’d love to hear how you handle this, especially if you’re juggling multiple initiatives and lots of unplanned work.

Where and how do you write your business specifications?

I’m curious how other Business Analysts structure and maintain their business specifications in practice.
Do you use Confluence, Word, SharePoint, Git/Markdown, or something else?
And more importantly, what does the structure of your specification look like?
For example:
● Business context / problem statement
● Goals and scope
● Business requirements
● Functional requirements
● Business rules
● Use cases / user journeys
● Acceptance criteria
● Process diagrams
● Data requirements
● Non-functional requirements
● Open questions / assumptions
I’d be particularly interested in real-world examples of structures that work well and how you keep the documentation maintainable as the system evolves.
What does your BA documentation setup look like?

Does anyone keep their business specifications in Git? What are your best practices?

I’m interested in hearing from BAs who use Git as a repository/version-control system for business specifications, requirements, or other BA documentation.
I’m especially interested in real-world setups and lessons learned, rather than theoretical Git documentation practices.
If you’re doing this successfully, what does your workflow look like?

What’s the most interesting AI/automation use case you’ve actually used?

I’m curious about real-world examples rather than generic “AI can help with requirements” answers.
If you had to share just one use case that has genuinely made your work as a BA faster, better, or easier recently, what would it be?
