Has anyone used ricotta in their Mac and cheese? Would you recommend it?

What title says. I have some ricotta that is going to expire soon and my husband requested baked Mac and cheese for dinner tomorrow. I usually use cheddar and pepper jack as my cheeses but was wondering if I could add the ricotta too and what kind of texture and flavor that would produce.
