why are some products not fully FA safe but still tolerated by some?

after i got FA/sebdem, i did a shit ton of research and actually found out that some items that were recommended weren't fully FA safe. examples are zeroid MD moisturiser, or fenty skin tint.
does anyone know why? i'm really just curious

help please :(

i’ve been dealing with what i believe is fungal acne for a year after using too much adapalene. which about a month ago suddenly flared into what was diagnosed as seborrheic dermatitis. i’ve already seen a dermatologist twice, and the seb derm initially seemed to respond pretty well to miconazole. however, the symptoms keep fluctuating and i’m still dealing with itching, redness, tiny uniform bumps/“seed-like” spots, and irritation around my mouth and lower face. my skin barrier is also irritated from previous adapalene use, so my dermatologist said there are essentially three things going on: seborrheic dermatitis, acne, and an irritated skin barrier.
my current treatment is miconazole + tacrolimus for the seb derm/inflammation, clindamycin gel instead of adapalene for the acne, and daily moisturiser to help repair my barrier. i’ve been following the regimen, but i’m struggling because the improvement seems inconsistent.
i've already used the tacrolimus for almost a month, and its my fourth day restarting miconazole. some days the itching is noticeably better and my skin feels much smoother, while other days the itch comes back even when i haven’t changed anything. i also sometimes get fine peeling/flaking. the moisturiser has helped with the tightness/stinging and my skin feels less “sandpaper-like,” but i’m worried that it might be contributing to the tiny bumps or fungal acne. even without moisturiser it itches so idfk whats gg on.
i’m honestly confused about what is actually causing what at this point — whether the remaining bumps are fungal acne, seb derm, acne, irritation from my damaged barrier, or some combination of these. i’m also wondering whether it’s normal for seb derm to fluctuate this much during treatment, how long it usually takes for the itching and sensitivity to settle, and whether i should continue the current regimen or ask my dermatologist about changing the treatment. has anyone had a similar experience with facial seb derm/fungal acne and a damaged skin barrier?
i even tried nizoral shampoo as a mask for 5-7mins but it caused crazy stinging and itch the next few days and it looked sm worse
this is affecting me so much coz of the itch and i feel so freaking self conscious 🫩🫩😭😭😭 i dont wanna leave the house
