What would be the best kit to start from for your first open class build?

I was looking around at pre-cut chassis and cowls, custom dampers and the like and I've come to the conclusion that I already have most of the equipment for making those pieces. So what kit (I'm imagining some form of MS kit) would you recommend to start with as the base? Where I'd say maybe wanna use the cowl and the chassis. OR is it better to buy a stock reinforced chassis and poly carb cowl on their own from your local hobby store.

Backlog finished, only one spot left!

I finished the last 3 cars in my back log. 2025 Christmas special, 2024 year of the dragon and finally 2026 year of the horse. Now for the final spot left on the wall but I have no clue what to build, part of me wants to start an open class build so I'd essentially have one of each class done. Thoughts?

Prepping for 11th edition. Means it's time to inventory the painted models

I still have a sizeable paint/build backlog, but it feels good that I no longer have to panic paint half my army for events. I'm starting 11th with Crusher Stampede + Talons of the Norn. The first pic is the sum total of my painted bugs and the second is my first list (points depending)
