FTM here, currently 15.5 weeks. Ended up in the ER last week for dehydration because I wasn’t keeping food, water or meds down. Now on Unisom + B6 + Zofran + Omeprazole. OB said they’re now “monitoring” me for HG.

Can’t shake the feeling that getting a diagnosis here is kind of tricky. Like, at what point do they know for sure it’s HG and not just severe morning sickness? Is it a matter of time, or specific symptoms? Am I supposed to stop taking meds for a day and see what happens?

Sorry if this all seems obvious to everyone here but I’m feeling very anxious and alone. And my OB is not super high-touch or personalized in their care which makes it all feel very scary as a first timer anyway. Appreciate all the perspective from this group 💗
