This is a band that I actually had a major blind spot for growing up (which is a shame because I would’ve been obsessed with them in high school, but I digress…). Over the last year or so I’ve gotten very into their music and have listened to nearly every album in full, a few of them many times in full.

Personally they’ve become a real favorite of mine, and I feel they have one of the strongest discographies in rock/alternative music. I can’t help but feel they are slightly underrated by the usual online music nerd crowd (though I know in general they are very successful and popular). I don’t really ever see them mentioned when people ask about bands with great discographies. We Have the Facts > Photo Album > Transatlanticism > Plans is an amazing run and one of the best in all of music for me. I also think they really don’t have a bad album — even their most recent 2 records (Thank You for Today and Asphalt Meadows) are excellent.
