We just broke up eleven days ago.

I see this as (rev 8 of wands) blocked energy and frustration.
(Rev 4 of pentacles) I think he is let his guard down to try to “check in” on me but vulnerability also brought up fears and unhappiness by my response for no contact.
(Rev 8 of pentacles) he is going to continue to feel frustration about not seeing results in his life. He will attach the breakup to further stagnation, as he won’t see immediate results from work / life opportunities.

Later on he will find (strength) and succeed in moving on with his life (outside of the past relationship) and achieve new goals (he wanted to move abroad to make more money, get out of debt, feel like he could be more of a supporter but wasn’t much action on changing ) … I hope this is true because then the breakup wouldn’t have been for nothing as the (king of pentacles) shows he will achieve some success in life once he gains strength to go forth.

(Not sure if I’m giving him too much benefit of the doubt here)

I am looking for interpretation guidance about the death card, and the present 1/ challenge 2 card.

summary of my interpretation -

I have been in previous work situations that have involved a lot of conflict, and at times I have even struggled with being the bully due to low self esteem. “Won the battle but lost the war” and ruined relationships due to competitiveness. People were hurt (7 into 5 of swords) and I may have been too but I am moving away from work conflict (reverse 5 of wands) which I genuinely feel.

Nevertheless, the reverse page of wands tells me I have wasted some time and potential. The reverse knights of swords tells me to slow down and reevaluate. I think it all ties into the 7th card, 3 of wands, and reverse temperance telling me this period is about healing, slowing down,

Reevaluating and moving into a more spiritually aligned direction. I also feel aligned with this.

Now I’m unsure whether the death card signals a change in attitude about the way I go about my work. I am currently in line for a huge contract designing a feature film, my first film I will be leading as head of department and something I have always wanted to do. I want to go into it with optimism and create a safe space for my team - I’m hoping that the fool indicates this outcome. YET I am also worried it could mean a career change which is something I think I need to do eventually long term (film is taxing and I have an autoimmune disease) … but since the reading was for short term change I’m not sure!?

Also note these cards have all come up in previous readings over the past month for me in the same upright/reversed positions, except 5 of swords, Queen of cups, Death and the Fool .
