Earlier in the week a few of us got together in the YMT area after work and did a bit of a language exchange. A few of us were there to practise Cantonese, and a few others were practising Japanese.

Out of the 5 people attending:

• 1 native Cantonese (local HKer), 3 advanced Cantonese, 1 beginner (but born in HK)
• 4 native English speakers, 1 intermediate
• 1 high-beginner Japanese, the other was intermediate+ Japanese
• I was hoping to also practice a bit of Mandarin (intermediate~) but didn't get to do so at the time

It was the first time for everyone to meet each other, so the topics were generally light-hearted and we just chatted about ourselves as much as we could in our target language.

I wouldn't mind going to/organising a few more of these in the near future. Anyone here interested to join?

Location/dates/time is flexible so maybe we can all come forward first and then try to set something up.
