Anyone stay on tirzepatide and stop the hair loss with oral minoxidil?
Basically the title. Looking to hear from anyone who successfully stayed on tirzepatide because oral minoxidil eventually stopped/recovered the hair loss.
Specifically, I’m looking to hear from people who had what seemed like drug-induced TE from tirzepatide, not hair loss from rapid weight loss.
My shedding started almost immediately after starting tirzepatide (started at .5 currently only at 1.5mg), and over the last 4 months I’ve lost what feels like half my hair. It’s been pretty devastating.
I started 1.25 mg oral minoxidil 5 weeks ago, but I’m in what I assume is the dread shed, and it’s honestly worse than before.
For those who stayed on tirzepatide while taking oral minoxidil:
\-Did the shedding eventually stop?
\-Did your hair grow back while staying on the medication?
\-Or did you have to stop tirzepatide for things to improve?
Please don’t suggest protein, iron/ferritin, thyroid, or slower weight loss. I’ve already addressed all of those, and I’m specifically looking for experiences with what appears to be tirzepatide-induced TE.
I’d especially love to hear from anyone who was able to stay on tirzepatide and eventually recover their hair with oral minoxidil. ❤️
