I want to warn fellow plant collectors about my experience with a seller claiming to be from Surabaya, Indonesia.

On August 5, I purchased a rare plant and paid USD 120 via Wise. The following day, the seller told me I needed to pay an additional USD 30 for a supposed mandatory quarantine fee before the plant could be shipped. Trusting the seller, I paid the additional amount.

After receiving both payments, the seller failed to provide legitimate proof of shipment or valid quarantine documentation and has stopped responding to my messages.

The seller claimed to be:

- Name: Putri Nopita Sari (claimed; I cannot verify this is their real identity)
- Bank: Bank Central Asia (BCA)
- Account Number: 0571390158
- Claimed Address: Jl. Raya Darmo Indah Bar. No. 36, Kel. Blok F, Tandes Kidul, Kec. Tandes, Surabaya, Jawa Timur 60187

I have already reported the transactions to Wise and am reporting the bank account to BCA.

I recently got scammed by someone claiming to be based in Surabaya, Indonesia. Thankfully, I didn’t lose a huge amount of money ($155), but I don’t want them to keep doing this to other people.

They claimed their name was Putri Nopita Sari and provided the following details:
Name: Putri Nopita Sari
Address: Jl. Raya Darmo Indah Bar. No. 36, Kel. Blok F, Tandes Kidul, Kec. Tandes, Surabaya, Jawa Timur 60187

Please note: I have no way of verifying whether this name or address is genuine, so I’m only sharing what they gave me.

I’m not looking to recover the money—I just want to report them and make their life as difficult as possible.

Also, if anyone from Indonesia knows the proper way to report this (to the bank, local authorities, or any anti-fraud agency), or can point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate your help.

I bought this as a Monstera White Monster, according to the seller, but I’m not convinced. 😅
I honestly bought it because I thought it was gorgeous lol. What do you all think? Does it actually look like a White Monster, or could it be something else?
