A little backstory. My (Wisconsin) family has gone to The Dells every year for probably close to 40 years in a row. Growing up we would always stay at a hotel and do Noah’s Ark one day and then Family Land and Big Chief Go Karts (eventually Mt Olympus) the next day.

After a while we stopped doing Mt Olympus because of all the well documented reasons on this sub and we started staying at the Wilderness. When little kids started showing back up in our family we stopped with Noah’s Ark and just stuck to the Wilderness.

The other day my brother asked if I wanted to join him and my nephew up at Noah’s Ark for a day trip and I said sure. We had talked about it for a year or two as my nephew has gotten a little older (just turned 7).

I was ready for it to be in rough shape for some reason but was pleasantly surprised with the status of the park and the staff. A couple of rides were not working but it didn’t ruin our day in any way and we had a blast.

I do miss the the ability to just bring in a big cooler and set it down at one of the picnic areas but I understand that’s how everything is now so I don’t hold that against them.

I hope Noah’s Ark keeps it up and never surrenders to Mt Olympus and their ownership.

Give Chef Donnie a lifetime achievement award, name the Guest of the Year award after him, and take him out of the running.

It’s not fair to the Buddys and Propsons of the world.

They don’t even have the best big apple podcast anymore.

Haven’t listened in a while but some of the best bits about 10-15 years ago were when he IQ tested his staff and did a big reveal on camera. Real IQ tests too. Like they had to go to a special place and have the test administered one at a time.

I’d like to see some thrown into the IQ test. You can get some pretty good bets going also.

Highest IQ? Not sure who would be the highest but I think some sneaky ones would be Cream Team Jakob and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Hannah Montoya score high. I may take Chaps to score highest though.

I’ve never been a baseball guy but trying to get into it. I’m taking my little nephew to his first game next month as he has been very into his T-Ball season… kinda my first game too to be honest. Went to one a long time ago but the counter has probably been reset.

I bought tickets next to the bullpen with the goal of trying to get a ball tossed up to him. I think he’d love it.

This gonna be easy to do or do I need to go in with low expectations? It’s a weekday 1:30 game so don’t anticipate it being jam packed.

Also aware batting practice may be an option but he’s pretty young and I’m not sure how his stamina for the game will be if we are there super early.
