dumb question probably but does fingering=bottoming
i feel really stupid asking at my big age and im sorry if its like the wrong place or i shouldnt ask this but i wanted input from other guys bc im kinda unsure now
i didn't think it was, but somebody ik says any penetration at all is bottoming and that apparently everyone knows this, like its gay law or sum, but i seem to have missed the memo bc?? i lowk thought it just referred to dick (or toy?) in ass, not like. fingering. bc i literally know self-described tops who like getting fingered but would never call themselves vers bc they dont wanna get fucked, and if a dude asks if i bottom i dont assume his intentions stop at fingering yk, like ig ive heard some ppl use it to include other stuff but i didnt think it was like widespread? like i guess i assumed its not the primary, general consensus, expected meaning? but then if u google it (a humiliation ritual btw) some sources say it counts as bottoming and others dont specify so im just kinda lost like where did i even get this information then. where did HE get this information. am i an idiot

edit: guys im not asking bc im insecure or anything, im vers anyway so it makes zero difference to my personal life, its just that assumption ive had for several years just got firmly contradicted and i wanted to get some other opinions 😭
