Just getting around to updating the firmware on my new FX3a.
I understand you have to do it in sequential order, mine from the factory is 2.0 I believe.
Can I do the whole process via SD as long as I follow instructions? Reading on the latest firmware it doesn’t say anything about sd cards, and wants it to run via my computer.
Does it have to be done that way?
Any additional tips before I kick it off?

Been running a win 10 machine for several years with no issues. This isn’t a workhorse by any means but has always operated fine.
Recently added 2 new titles that I did not encode myself and cannot get either to playback. They both stall at 33%.
A friend has watched both titles off site and they play fine, and they both play on the plex app on my iPhone.
I’m sure it’s a setting somewhere but not sure what or where. I’m wondering if this pc doesn’t have the horsepower to play locally? Got thousand movies on there and this is the first time I’ve encountered it.
Any suggestions?
