Gardyn Studio 1 vs 2? What are the differences and is a 1 worth buying?

Someone on offer up is selling a never used still in the box Gardyn studio 1 on Offer Up for half the price. I am wondering if it is worth getting a Gardyn Studio 1 and if the replacement parts are the same. This is my first time buying a set up like this.

PSA For The Sub: PLEASE stop using posts critiquing men's behavior to talk about how awesome your man is and how he is the exception to the rule.

I made this comment on another post and figured it deserved its own post. (ft. mini TJ's shark coochie on a broken plate I refuse to throw away bc it's cute).

I beg of you my beautiful GDD Subistas: PLEASE STOP using posts talking about trends in men's behavior/pattern recognition, critiquing socialized gender roles, or discussing more structural patriarchal issues as an opportunity to gloat about how good and amazing your man is. There are some comments like this on every post and it's obnoxious and unnecessary because it feels like it minimizes important discussions being had. I also can't help but wonder if it's a projection and how good those relationships really are if you feel the need to proclaim that as a badge of honor on a post discussing something that negatively affects multiple women. It's also pretty tacky as a response when someone is detailing abuse. Some of them claim it's to show "there are still some good men never settle!" but again, read the room and really assess if this is the time and place for that and it still ignores or distracts from any overarching patriarchal critiques being made (and sometimes feels like its framed as the ultimate achievement with an air of superiority, men are not the prize!). It's giving "not all men" which in this instance is a similar energy as "all lives matter" which dismisses the more systemic patriarchal parts of the conversation. Remember, we are in this collectively and therefore need to collectively expect more as women and they can either rise up to meet us or not. Anyway, please pause before posting "my man is amazing and the exception" and think about how helpful it really is on the specific post you are replying to.

I always take these comments with a grain of salt anyway because I have seen how much women create this fantasy version of their partner and pedestal their shitty men for years until they finally wake up lol. The way I see women speak so highly of absolute losers IRL too just to remain "chosen" is such an extreme form of cognitive dissonance. (I actually see it in action every day on this sub also. For example, soooo many posts on here start out glorifying and praising the man and calling him mostly amazing and then a big "BUT" and they go on to describe some truly horrific behavior they are putting up with or being subjected to that negates that description lol). Listen, I've also definitely been that girl in the past that gives a man too much undeserved PR too. But that was before the 4th wave of feminism really took off the way it has in recent years lol. No excuses anymore girlies let's take those rose colored glasses off, see men for what they are, and demand better for all of us.

And I can't believe I have to make this caveat when talking about this but I just know I will get defensive comments from male centric women or angry men so let me just reiterate NO ITS NOT ALL marriages or all men. But once again saying phrases like "not all men" on discussions of systemic oppression or socialized gender roles is dismissive and it's an unnecessary diversion from very real power structures.

In the same vein, the institution of marriage benefits men more than it does women in general and we need to stop glorifying it and stop glorifying the idea that being "chosen" is the ultimate goal or measure of value for women. It keeps women trapped or encourages them to settle out of fear of social rejection for the way society treats single women, unmarried women, or childfree women. There are nefarious reasons that certain institutions stress nuclear family propaganda and marriage. Oftentimes its to extract women's labor and to uplift men to positions of power. It's great if it works for you and if you found a healthy marriage to a straight man and of course it is possible, but let's stop romanticizing it in general for women collectively. Given the astronomical rates of domestic violence, spousal r*pe, femicide, and other forms of abuse disproportionately caused by men in hetero marriages, it seems like less and less of a good idea in terms of safety as well. As does all of the uneven amounts of domestic and emotional labor often expected of women.
