What's your "I Don't Get It" House?

I just stumbled on my first, despite their marketing being very up my alley and being excited to try it -- I sampled three scents from Sorce and didn't like any of them. Fuckery's cherry note smells like a cough drop to me, and I find the tobacco smoke note overpowering. Poisonous roots wasn't bad, but the jasmine is heavy for my taste and came off kind of elderly to me. Moon Magic is the worst of the three! As soon as I sprayed it I was hit with the sense memory of the smell of pond scum??? I think it's the peppery-ness of the lavender mixing with the ambroxan. I grew up on ten acres of wetland forest and that peppery earthy smell is 100% hard-coded in my brain as that frothy green scum that collects on puddles and ponds in the sun. I had to go wash it off immediately.

What house is getting a lot of love lately, but you just can't get behind it?

Is it harder to change your whole name than just your last, when you marry?

Hi all!

I've never been crazy about my first name and have been socially going by my middle name for a few years now. Since I'm changing my last name and doing all the related paperwork anyway, I'm debating formally changing my first name to what I've been going by, while I'm at it.

Have any of you guys done that? Have you compared notes with people who did just their last name? How much more of a hassle was it, and do you regret it?

Some Newbie Spreads from This Month

I'm shy about what I actually write on these suckers, so I've blurred out the text, but I'm happy with the look and wanted to share :)

I'm a lifelong journaler but new to this particular practice, so I'm trying to balance how fancy I get with the actual motivation to use this thing.

These are in an A5 Rhodia Goalbook. I keep my commonplace pages, journal, TBR list, reading logs and everything in the same book, so I've been flagging different types of entries with tabs for easy flip-through when I want to look back.
