Asian Inspired Fashion

I picked this outfit up for less than 40 bucks at Walmart

I’ve been experimenting a lot more with feminine and androgynous fashion lately and trying to figure out what silhouettes actually work for my frame instead of just buying clothes because I like them on someone else.

This one came from mixing wide cropped culottes, a soft oversized top, platform sandals, lavender hair, and a mostly warm/neutral palette. A lot of the inspiration comes from Japanese/Korean fashion and some of the styling I got used to seeing while living in Japan.

Then I thought: why not actually draw the outfit?

So I took the IRL look and turned it into a fashion illustration somewhere between croquis, chibi, and anime proportions. 😂

I’m really liking the softer silhouette, especially how the high waist + wider pants change the proportions.

Still figuring out where my personal style lands, but this has been one of my favorite experiments so far.
