[7 YoE, Business Manager/Strategy at Bank, Strategy/BizOps at Startups, USA]

[7 YoE, Business Manager/Strategy at Bank, Strategy/BizOps at Startups, USA]

Would appreciate honest resume feedback.

Targeting YC/VC-backed startups, fintechs, marketplaces, and AI startups (think Uber, DoorDash, Faire, Klarna, and smaller series B/C) in the NYC area.

I’ve applied to ~75 Strategy & Operations / BizOps / Chief of Staff roles, but only landed 2 interviews — both from banks.

Current role:
Business Manager / Strategy & Ops at a BB bank supporting a group focused on venture-backed, high-growth companies. My work is a mix of strategy, operations, analytics, program management, and chief-of-staff support for senior leadership.

Also have experience in:

  • international expansion consulting
  • ecommerce owner/operator experience
  • Brief BizDev role at a saas startup straight out of undergrad

I’m trying to understand if my resume:

  • sounds too corporate
  • undersells execution/ownership
  • positions me at the wrong level
  • doesn’t translate well to startups

Would love brutally honest feedback on how this resume reads to startup recruiters/founders.

Customer got a refund and still opened a charge back.. and WON. How do i reverse?

As the title says.. A customer bought an item from my store on Sunday.

Unfortunately, when I went to fulfill, I realized the item was out of stock (this particular item was going to be drop shipped). I sent her an email saying I would cancel the order and provide a refund, so I did. The next day, on Monday, I get a notice that the customer has disputed with their bank and I got a charge back for "credit not processed", immediately after, it said that I lost the charge back and got charged a chargeback fee.

How can I fight this?

I sent her the refund before she opened the case, but I still lost a chargeback and paid a fine for it.
