Having three long-haired dogs finally made me understand expensive robot vacuums.

I have three long-haired dogs, so dog hair basically never stops existing in my house.

I tried a cheaper robot vacuum years ago (a ecovacs deebot 500) and wrote the whole category off after that. It got stuck constantly, missed random spots, and I usually still had to vacuum afterward, so it felt like one more thing to babysit.

Recently I gave it another shot and got this dreame x60 Ultra, mostly because I wanted something that could handle hair better and not get lost under furniture every other run.

It’s not like my floors are spotless 24/7 now, but the daily fur situation feels a lot less overwhelming, which is basically what I was hoping for.

For pet owners, I kind of get now why people spend more on these instead of buying the cheapest option and hoping for the best.
