My wife and I (63 an 61 respectively) are relative beginners in mountain biking. We've gone to Dodge Ridge, taken some lessons and rode the trail "Around the Horn" a lot. Now don't laugh, but this was all done on hardtails.

Unfortunately for us, Dodge Ridge will not have a summer mountain bike season this summer. They may next year.

We were thinking of going to Mammoth this summer for some downhill fun. In light of the fact that Mammoth is much bigger than Dodge Ridge and from what I can tell, a real "destination location" for mountain biking, would we find some trails that would be suitable for beginners and maybe for budding intermediate riders?
