Reliability concerns

I’m considering a new 2026 Santa Fe hybrid, great features and OK pricing. Seems like everything I’m looking for. But I see all of the posts here and YouTube videos of reliability issues, hassles with service departments to get things fixed, etc and I’m thinking the Santa Fe might not be the best choice.

I haven’t found a great source of reliability data (Consumer Reports seems to be the best, but seems to rely on subscriber surveys?). I’m hoping that most of the problems were with the 2024s and that they have been worked out for the 2026s. I’m also hoping that service departments problems are less of a concern since I live in Phoenix and there are several dealers in the area. But I don’t want to spend $50K and have to hope I made a good choice!

Has anyone else been on the fence for these reasons, and what made you decide to take the plunge (or not)? Am I overreacting to Reddit/YouTube and the vast majority of Santa Fe owners are happy with no issues?

It stopped turning on about a year ago (around 14 months old) and I went through the steps to determine it was likely a PSU issue. Life happened and it stayed in the corner for about a year and then I decided to try and fix it. Ordered a PSU from iFixit and replaced the old PSU today. Everything seemed to go smoothly, and the inside was actually very clean and no obvious indicators of an issue (tons of dust, scorch marks, etc.).

Buttoned it all up and plugged it in, and nothing. Absolutely no signs of life, lights, beeps … nothing.

I was going to let it stay plugged in overnight (I read somewhere about a CMOS battery that may need to recharge after such a long time being unplugged?). Any other tips and tricks?

Has anyone done the same thing and is it worth contacting iFixit (could the replacement be bad as well?)?
