just moved into a new student house (ie probably not very well taken care of previously) and on my second wash a whole ass mushroom came out along with all the items being covered in brown flakes that look like mildew? definitely not something that went into the wash.

i had noticed that the first wash i did had an odd smell but ive also just swapped to a much better detergent and thought i was smelling the scent change.

ive just cleaned the detergent tray and run a long hot (70c) cycle with washing machine cleaner - is there anything else i can do???
