Career change as 40F

Im an audiologist with a heavily sales focused role. Im tired of the daily grind. I want to take a 6m break and focus on myself and kids and figure out what I want to do for next 20 years. Is it stupid in this economy to go down to 1 salary and potentially not get a job back after 6 months. Considering I have been trying a Lil bit for a new job for 2 years and haven't really found something I like. Also less opportunities in Perth overall for audiologists.

Transitioning from clinical work to state or federal roles

Hello. Im an audiologist looking for work in policy or project management or any other similar type of job. After many years of clinical work, I want a different role where im not dealing with multiple people a day. Some flexibility in wfh would also be good. Happy to do a course as well. Im just having no luck figuring out what industry i want to change to. Any recommendations.
