Zone 9, is this good?

For years I have only been able to find tropical... and I've learned that's not native. Please share what you think about this species...

Milkweed at HEB!

I have been searching for different options because all I have been able to find is tropical. Zone 9. Is this a better option!?!? Asking for my VERY hungry caterpillars!!

Rio Grande Chirping frog??

I hear these lil frogs all night and today my kitty brought me one as a present. (No injuries)They are so tiny and cute!

Thoughts on these frogs in zone 9 of Texas. I have read that they often travel in bags of soil.

(Apologies for the kitty glitter all over the lil guy. We had quite the time getting him to a safe spot after the initial cat delivery.)
