now that the flashback is over, i wanted to share my thoughts and discuss gunko and her abilities.
so the biggest mystery for me is her age. we know that GK(gods knights) age normally (as we have seen with Garling) with the only exception being the elders, (who havent aged at least in the last 40 years)
so if we assume one becomes immortal when one becomes an elder, it would suggest that closing the abyssal covenant/deep deep sea contract grants immortality(probably in exchange for imu to possess those with it completely and take over their body)
that would be one explanation for Gunko not aging. But in my opinion this might be too easy of an explanation for several reasons. the first would be that she must have gotten it pretty much immediately after the flashback, as she hasnt visibly aged between the flashback and god valley where she should have been around 40. additionally we know that she was only an apprentice/ devoted blade back in god valley, which would make it unlikely for her to have the highest covenant, as that is limited(13 total officially, so prob 5 abyssal=elder + 8 depths=GK) and expresses loyalty and skill of the highest order.
the way i view it, there are two other explanations. one is that her age might be influenced by that power Groh(her father) was talking about . the second would be that imu had other means to grant immortaliy independent of the covenants. we know that marie jois has a lot of control and its own storage of df, so it wouldnt be to far fetched if this was related to the op op no mi.
It is also interesting that imu had her working as some kind of personal servant for him even though only the elders and GK are supposed to know about his existence. And one has to wonder what ability imu, already having it all as the leader of the world,wants or needs her to awaken. regarding this it is hard to theorize anything but the one thing which we can probably assume is that the process of the awakening is already done and she has awoken the ability or imu might have given up that she will ever awake it. and i think this development is what led her to become from a servant to blade of god, either as a way to utilize the power or as some sort of punishment/demotion.

Just watched the season. And as someone who watched David since 2019 it's just impossible to miss the parallels. Tbh I doubt it was meticulously planned as in the show but I never saw that so clearly that people promote their OF through such roundabout ways.

hallo, ich hatte die letzten monate mit starken depressionen und angststörungen zu kämpfen gehabt und versuche deshalb ein urlaubsemester zu nehmen. die probleme fingen bereits vor dem jetzigen semester an aber ich wollte es dennoch versuchen bis es einfach nicht mehr ging. mein problem kommt, daher dass ich mich erst im märz entschieden hatte deswegen therapie zu besuchen, erst ambulant und dann wurde ich an mehrere verwiesen. hierdurch war ich bei vielen therapeuten aber hab keinen bei den ich regulär mehrere stunden hatte. fur das urlaubssemester brauche ich irgendein nachweis,was ich aber aufgrund obiges nicht bekommen kann. der eine bei dem ich mehrmals war ist ein alterer herr der sich komplett weigert irgendetwas niederzuschreiben, da seiner Meinung nach die therapie erst angefangen hätte. auch vom hausarzt bekomme ich nichts ohne eine art stellungnahme vom therapeuten. ich habe keine ahnung was ich jetzt tun kann, hat jmd vlt ähnliches durchgemacht und ein rat
