Apparently I have endosalpingiosis now too
Confirmed via biopsy during my hysterectomy on my left and right uterosacral ligaments. Feel like I'm racking up diagnoses now like steam game achievements 🫠
Evicted my baby box and had ny first true excision
Day one post op and honestly don't feel terrible. Had some urinary stents placed, uterus removed, and endometriosis excised (still think it would be considered stage 1 but haven't seen the surgical report pop up yet.) Already feeling better with uterus gone (it ended up having adeno) and having some endo that was getting close to my bowls excised. Also learned that my main issue may not even be endo or adeno, but vascular! Not super shocked since I just had a stent placed 4 weeks ago but she took pics of my uterus and even my husband who is non medical was like "holy shit" because it's so obvious. Was hoping i wouldn't need another venogram for a while (because my veins suck and are hard to access even by the surgeon with ultrasound) but it looks like I will probably have quite a few more to come in the future. If nothing else its nice to know that all endo/adeno things have been properly addressed and once I get the vascular stuff done I'll (theoretically) feel like a new woman.
So for anyone one the fence about seeing a specialist, do it! She's the one that got me in with vascular in the first place and I just got lucky that the vascular doc was willing to look bc I've only had a few, vague symptoms of vascular congestion this whole time. And that's how we learned that my iliac vein was 86% compressed and that my vein is shit bc I've most likely have had clots there in the past.
Lil treat to myself after having to get a new car (old one got totaled 😭)

I just want something good for dinner!
Hysterectomy/excision surgery in 7 days and the anxiety is killing my stomach. It's not so bad while I'm at work bc it's super busy and it makes for a good distraction. But it's like as soon as I get home my tummy goes to rumbling and then it's back and forth to the bathroom all night. Stomach and everything is too angry to eat more than buttered noodles/rice. Just wanted a last good meal or 2 before getting cut on. Not looking for advise, just screaming into the void out of frustration. Trying to remind myself to do my belly breathing more as well. It's just all the unknowns that come with this kind of stuff drive me crazy. And the more things I get checked off my to do list, the more time I have to overthink everything. If anyone has any lesser known hysterectomy tips or tricks leave them here please. I think I have just about everything but I feel like a hamster on a wheel right about now 🐹
I have May Thurners syndrome!
Honestly so happy right now. I started crying on the table when they found it because I knew this would change everything. Everything makes so much more sense knowing that there was a huge vascular component that everyone had been missing. My iliac vein was 86% occluded and damaged from what my doc believes is previous blood clots that I apparently was completely unaware of. I'm just so happy that I found docs that were willing to listen to me and do this testing when I didn't have any classic symptoms (though apparently you can also be asymptomatic as well.) Already feeling relief now that I'm getting the blood flow I should have been getting all along. Feeling way more hopeful for the future and my upcoming hysterectomy knowing that everything is truly being addressed at this point. Love you guys 💕
You know it's storming when they start putting the purewicks back in the ceiling ⛈️
Food triggers?
I have some questions for those who have known food triggers. When do you have flares in relation to eating triggering foods? Is it pretty instant or a build up over several days of eating the wrong thing. I think I have found a common denominator in my recent flares (red meat) and will be keeping a log. Just wanted to get a better idea from others in the community as far as how specific foods can affect inflammation and flares. Thanks in advance!!
Hysterectomy and excision planned with my specialist who is 5+ hours away from home. What do you recommend?
Per the title, planned surgery will be for the end of July. This is the first time I've had surgery this far away from home. Already booked a nice hotel for the day before surgery and will plan to check out the day after surgery (that way if the procedure runs long my mom and I can get a good night's sleep before the trip back.) Does anyone have any recommendations as far as things that would be helpful for the trip back as well as things in general that have helped you following a hysterectomy? Thanks in advance endo sisters!!
