How the heck do I hold knitting needles - Continental style ki
Hello guys
i’m learning to knit.
I did it before years ago but then started getting into crochet and haven’t done it since. I am able to do my stitches and they look proper however I know i’m not holding the needles right. I can’t hold them out in the hair. My left needle ends up being straight up pressed against my leg or stomach while the right one works. When i watch videos the left and right needles are both held at a cross. When i try to do it i cant and when i look up videos that explain how they hold the needle in their left hand it is just explaining how to hold the yarn. I can hold my yarn and keep the tension but i dont have the hooks at a proper angle and id love to be able to sit down and not have to have the needle pressed up against me lol.
I tried to take a picture to show you how i hold it but the picture isn’t the best. It shows what the needles look like from the top and how i have to have it pressed against me. If anyone has any videos, pictures or good explanations on how to properly hold the NEEDLES not the YARN please let me know!
Thank you!!
