Other nerve issues

I'm relatively new to TN - only diagnosed about 2 months ago. For the past 6 weeks I've been dealing with what is likely a pinched nerve in my neck on the opposite side as my TN. I just had an MRI this morning on my neck/spine to see if there are any pinched nerves but my appointment for the results isn't for 2 weeks.

Is it just a coincidence that I'm having 2 separate nerve issues? Or is there some sort of illness that involves multiple nerves in multiple places? The brain MRI didn't show any compression or signs of MS. I hear of people being misdiagnosed all the time so maybe there is something going on more than just the TN.

Neurologist?

I was diagnosed about 6 weeks ago by my GP. Looking back, I’ve had mild symptoms for over a year. In April, I had my first experience with the major pain. After reading here, I feel fortunate that I was diagnosed and treated almost right away after realizing there was something actually wrong.

I’m on carbediazepine and it seems to be working well. My question is, should I be seeing a neurologist? I don’t have an immediate need right now since the TN is controlled but wasn’t sure if I should get established with one for when/if things change.

Windshield

Just a rant:

I drove a 2018 Rubicon for 6 years and had zero stone chips in the windshield. I’ve been driving my 2024 for 2 months and have already gotten 2 stone chips. Good thing I procrastinated on getting the first one fixed. Ugh. And yes, it’s gorilla glass.

Start/stop doesn't work

I bought a 2024 Willys about 6 weeks ago. The start/stop worked for maybe the first week or so but hasn't work since. I don't mind, but I think I remember reading that it uses an auxiliary battery and if it dies it could cause the main battery to die...or something like that, maybe.

So, do I need to worry about start/stop not working? Should I replace both batteries?

I need new hinges for my rear tailgate. Has anyone bought hinges on Amazon? They are ridiculously cheap compared to Quadratec and Extreme Terrain but sometimes you get what you pay for.

My daughter’s car is junk and she’s going off to college in the fall so instead of getting her something different we decided to give her my 2018 JKU Rubicon and I’d get a newer Jeep for myself.

I’m apparently looking for something that doesn’t exist. I want a more aggressive look (sorry sport and Sahara) but I don’t want to build it myself. I need lower miles since I put on a lot of miles myself and I’m trying to stay around $30,000-$35,000.

Between the 4xe’s and the bubbling paint issue I’m not having much luck finding a good, solid Jeep that fits my requirements. I’d really love the one-touch top but that further limits things.

And to be completely honest, as much as I love my current Jeep I’m thinking maybe another one isn’t in the cards right now. The Broncos are looking nicer and nicer. Plus, the duck thing was fun at the beginning but I’m over it.

Thanks for listening. I’m mostly joking about the Broncos…
