Cold DM vs cold calls for selling websites?

Recently started a website dev agency. Finding it difficult to find leads - my target demo is trades people who I guess are not very technical. I send the messages via DM with a pre recorded vid of me showcasing their websites but no responses at all.

Have not tried cold calling (not sure how to)

Any advice for a newbie?

Second ADCC comp

Did my second ADCC after 1.1 years of training. Still a no stripes on my belt (I never make it to stripe day classes because my work runs late). ADCC was best of 3 (1 guy in my bracket) and I won 1 round via decision. The other two rounds I was just too tired to do anything and was basically defence mode but got tapped - one arm bar, kinda hurts but not too bad. Last round I tapped to a mounted triangle wrist lock (wtf)

This is my 3rd overall comp. I managed to calm my nerves but I still forget techniques in the heat of battle.

But oh well here we are with x2 ADCC silver medals as participation trophies and more questions and positions to work on.

Built an open source water usage tracker for Claude

I was curious as to how much water is consumed by these data centres to cool their hardware during regular Claude sessions.

So, I vibe coded ThirstyLLM.

I started off with a research paper to find out the methodology (Li et al. 2023) - I spoke to the authors, quickly found out the research was a bit dated got a new resource that shows the current energy usage of data centres/LLMs, implemented it and now we have ThirstyLLM. Fully open source - for the community to try and mess around with. But please make sure the contributions are double triple checked if you are going to play around with the repo =)

The tool runs fully offline. No API key. No data leaves your machine. Your log is tokens and timestamps only. No prompts or context is stored.

Selling everything on Hatch & migrating to Kernal

Has anyone sold all their stocks on Hatch and moved to Kernal PIE funds? I am thinking of doing this but really do not want to lose my average costs that's on Hatch.

My plan is to sell all my positions and go 80% SPY and the rest on individual companies I like.

I will be paying FIF tax this year - will selling all my stocks mean I pay more tax on top of that? Can I claim a loss by selling an underperforming stock?

Thoughts pls
