Nervous About Supernumerary Procedure.

My daughter is having four impacted wisdom teeth and a supernumerary (#20A) tooth removed soon. The supernumerary tooth has not erupted and will be removed from inside her mandible. We are going to a highly recommended oral surgeon who I really trust. I'm still very nervous about her procedure and recovery and would appreciate any stories that help put my mind at ease. I worked at an emergency department and Surgical Intensive Care Unit and so I've mostly seen when things have gone very wrong and I tend to catastrophize.

[TOMT] [BOOK] [80s or earlier] A German Kid's Book About A Bear and Girl in a Red Cloak.

I'm not sure if the book was in German or English. I remember looking at it in library in Frankfurt, Germany when I was too young to read. It was near a military base, but not on base so my guess is it was in German.

The book is very darkly illustrated, mostly black background illustrations with a big black bear. A girl in a red cape or cloak is walking in the forest when she happens upon a gigantic bear. He is bleeding from his paw and she treats it. They're friendly afterwards. That's all I really know about it since I couldn't read the story.

From what I recall, the illustrations were not very realistic but also not cutesy. They were kind of like a mix between Bill Peet (but more realistic than his work) and Curious George.

Any ideas?
