He’s solid and I love that he’s gotten out of having 2 runners on base for the first two innings, but our pitching coaches need to work with him (and our other starters tbh) on being more efficient. Being close to 50 pitches after 2 innings isn’t ideal. Rooting for him to finish strong but that’s his biggest issue!

Finished my L6 loop

I recently went through the loop for an L6 Sr AM Amazon Ads position. Can someone be real with me on what the culture is like over there? Not that I have an offer yet, but I’m weighing options and would love opinions from anyone who works at Amazon Ads/ the DSP. I know that this particular team is flexible with RTO and most of them go in 2-3x a week which seems awesome. The people in my loop were definitely a mix personality-wise and I vibed with a few of them, but there was one that I definitely didn’t click with and another one that I couldn’t read so who knows what will happen!

Why is Polanco still here

I’m having a blast watching the Mets lately except for when that clueless idiot comes up with men on base and he strikes out on three pitches.

Thank you, Weaver

Luke was a bright spot during a lost season. He deserves to play for a better team but his contributions to the Mets will not be forgotten! Too bad he’s here during a year where we were out of contention in the spring.

Polanco

I think he is the worst signing of the season by far. Got our first hit and RISP of the night right before him so of course I knew he’d be getting out next. Truly an automatic out for every at bat.

Christian Scott

What a DAWG. Loaded the bases then left them loaded and only allowed 1 run over 6 innings. I think it was his first time finishing 6 innings and he showed he’s a strong piece of the rotation into the future. He is one of the reasons why it’s still worth watching the Mets play in the year of our lord 2026!

Do we really think David Stearns will last his whole contract?

Before anyone comes for me, YES I saw Steve’s presser where he said David has a 5 year contract and he has no plans to change that. You just have to think there will be some kind of reckoning after this disastrous season where Stearns brought on injury prone players to replace fan faves and didn’t do anything to address starting pitching (aside from Peralta who is barely a shadow of a pitcher that he’s been historically).

While we can’t blame Stearns for the insane amount of injuries that have plagued the season (Soto being down multiple times, Lindor being out 2 months, Clay breaking his leg, etc etc), we can blame him for signing guys like polonco and Robert who are just eating up money sitting on the IL. My biggest hope for the future is that Stearns is kept on a tight leash and that Steve finally gets a real GM who knows baseball and isn’t fully reliant on analytics. You can’t create a team via spreadsheets and AI and whatever has been happening with the Mets clearly hasn’t been working.

This team is a joke

Nothing else to say other than our offense rolling over for the brewers. They have no fight.

Most expensive team with the worst pitching

Freddy did his old team a favor and now some no name loser is pitching. Who even is Curry? STERNS MASTERCLASS!

Steve Cohen was an idiot to say there would never be a captain

Real fans know that Lindor sets the tone for this team and I can’t fathom how much that statement probably hurt him mentally. Seeing Lindor back in form today made me ever sadder about what could’ve been with him as captain (and not getting injured obviously)

Thanks for nothing, Lindor

You let the Sox sweep us and you fully negated your excellent day at the plate with a dropped routine DP

I was so dumb to think we could salvage a win

I’m so pissed at Lindor. That error made it look like he legit had no idea where he was.

Why didn’t they let weaver pitch the 9th?

No shade at Williams - Lindor could’ve ended the game but fumbled a routine play….again

Soto

Not sure why he has been dead this series but between the left field error and lack of hustle on a dribbler, I’m disappointed in our highest paid player in what should’ve been a series win
